A place where children from remote Himalayan villages can find a shelter and education for free. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Lama Dhundup at his mobile number provided above. Food and accommodation provided! I helped out with accounting, administration, led a computer course for the children and taught German to the monks.

A place where I have volunteered at in exchange for your accommodation. Located in the middle of forest is a great place to relax from the busy city life. 3 km to the beautiful beaches and 3 km to the city.

Saraya welcomed me to help out for 5 hours per day for what I have received tasty food and accommodation on the awesome treehouse! Awesome place, amazing people and very yummy food! Saraya is open to all artists and recently also befriended with very talented young artist Godot.

“Home Away From Home” Animal Shelter in Kuah, Langkawi, Malaysia (VOLUNTEERING)

A shelter for rescued animals – dogs, cats, hamster, chickens and ducks. Works together with another shelter – “Lassie”. Because of the size it can accommodate up to 2 people at one time. Another volunteer would be placed at Lassie. How did I help? I Helped out with gardening and animals, which require lot of attention and love.

A school, where for I have volunteered at and received accommodation in exchange for my English language skills. I have worked with students, tested their skills and guided them in their English language course.

Apart from every day duties the church is helping and feeding the poor and homeless people, organizing social events (book readings, concerts) and taking part in conferences about climate change. I helped out at few events, church cleaning and with maintenance.

Nina´s Ark Wildlife Sanctuary, Batchelor, Australia (VOLUNTEERING)

The Ark is a refuge for orphaned or injured native animals near Litchfield National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is the ideal place for rehabilitated Kangaroos to be released back into the wild. I’ve been preparing the meal for the animals, feeding them, cleaning their cages and taking care of the baby animals.

One of the hostels in Tekapo, which offers accommodation for the wwoofers in exchange for their work. My tasks were the odd jobs, like cleaning the walls and windows, some gardening (tree cutting, etc.) and housekeeping. The atmosphere at the hostel is great thanks to the owners – Richard and Jovana.

Fox Glacier Inn & Pod Hostel, Fox Glacier, New Zealand (WWOOFING)
I helped out with renovations of the hostel, but because I’ve spent there only 3 days, there’re not many pics of the hostel nor of my work, so there’re few pics of my flight to the glacier 🙂

Place, where I’ve worked the most and did most various jobs, like housekeeping, painting (renovating) the stairs, swings, benches, tables, fences and roads; chopping the wood, gardening, cleaning and general maintenance – all in exchange for accommodation.
